About Love PE
My name is Karen Breen and I am the Lead Education advisor at Love PE CPD. I have been teaching for 22 years which has included many roles within secondary settings such as Head of PE, Head of Year and Deputy Head. I have over 10 years experience now working within primary schools and continue to support schools with innovative CPD solutions. We work locally in the East Midlands and across the UK to offer Schools, Colleges, Universities , Teaching Alliances, SCITT providers and private Coaching companies support with all aspects of primary PE.
We are a small team of Physical Education and school sport specialists who deliver creative CPD to upskill and enrich staff. We develop subject knowledge and practical experience from physical development to physical literacy. We travel all over the UK to do this and enjoy working in a variety of settings by engaging with staff to develop a sound PE provision for their students.
We are delighted to say that we continue to receive 100% positive feedback!

How can we help you?
Our work is school improvement and developing people. We fully believe that each school is different and of course each staff member will have a different perspective of PE.
We are realistic, we know that not every member of staff is a lover of this subject for various reasons, time restraints, schools pressures, length of subject training. However, having worked in 100s of schools we can guarantee our interactive sessions will encourage even the most resistant members of the school.
That includes all staff: teachers, teaching assistants and mid day supervisors

Training
We can deliver bespoke inset development days, half day sessions, twilight training and team teach (demo lessons) in all areas of the curriculum. Some schools book a member of staff to work for 1 day over a 6 week block or several months. Discounts are available for this.
**Academy Trusts often prefer to choose to focus on several areas with their group of schools and so packages of support are tailor made.
We are passionate about Physical Education and school sport and the numerous benefits they bring to a child’s life. We believe Physical Education should maintain a core stability within the timetable of a school to not only develop a child’s physical, mental and social skills but also develop aspects of a child’s character that may go unnoticed or unaddressed in other subject areas. It is crucial that school leaders dedicate time and invest in their own staff. As in a lot of cases PE is delivered by external agencies and so teachers do not see the ‘other side’ to a child’s development.
We fully believe that this subject is crucial to the holistic development of our countries children and must be given a reasonable and consistent proportion of the school timetable.
Advice and consultancy
We also offer high quality, bespoke support for all colleagues working in schools. We continue to receive excellent feedback from our work in schools and many head teachers have commented that working together has proved to be an invaluable support system to raise the status and overall development of Physical Education, Physical Development and Physical Activity in their school.
Our focussed sessions also work with existing or new PE co-ordinators in order to help them plan their PE provision and ensure they are creating a healthy school environment and putting physical activity at the heart of school life.
Updates
Many schools wish to keep updated with regards to the ongoing developments in Physical Education and school sport.
